a second chance worth taking?

A second chance at life? No. That is too deep of a subject to get into this evening. It's the flipping weekend for gods sake. I am talking about "second chance blues", a trio (although I always jokingly refer to them as a "power trio", in the vein of Rush or ZZ Top) comprised of three really great guys, who are all just devilishly talented at doing what they do. A nice crowd, a nice table of company, and some really good music and that fact it was outdoors on a summer night when it actually felt like a breezy September evening. One slightly awkward, yet funny, point of the evening came when the band finished a bluesy rendition of a CCR classic and then dedicated “Big Bottom” by metal faux-legends Spinal Tap to yours truly! Completely out of place in the setlist, but completely appreciated. The lyrics to this song are truly disturbing I must say, and the explanation of the “why”, was the point of much laughter the rest of the evening.
